Hi Molly - this is a terrific 100wc, with so much tension and excitement - well done! I think the first sentence is my favourite, although sdo think about how to use punctuation in it: eg, I was in a boat, lost at sea: no one was near... Mr K :-)
Well done, Molly! I'm glad your story had a happy ending. Remember that some words have the same pronunciation but different meanings, and sometimes different spellings. These words are called homophones and in this piece of writing you need to use saw instead of sore. Keep up the good work! Mrs Maclean, Team 100WC
