Spending valuable time with family that is far away or close to home,and giving to the poor, so they can get a wonderful Christmas like we do. And helping parents make the tree with all the Christmas decorations that includes baubles and tinsel. And most of all the PRESENTS.

Adom's trip to America - the journey!

My America trip so far

I’ve got to say getting there was terrible this is how it went:the coach took close to 7 hours to to get to London and to make it a lot worse 45 minutes to get to Heathrow Airport and the bus to the hotel took ages to get to Heathrow and when it finally got there it took ages to get to the hotel.After the overnight stay at the hotel the the bus took ages to get there and then we got to Heathrow border security took ages and the plane was SO boring and took 9 hours 30 minutes.And once more border control took a long time to get out of the airport, but I finally had got there.

There was a man  who lived in a little cottage  in the lonely woods.his family lived far far away  the man had bought his family gifts and he needed to give all his gifts to his family so he set of on a Journey to reach his family.
it  took A long time to get to his family when he reach them they had a lovely dinner after he had his dinner he gave all his gifts to his family and he got some gifts to. They all had a lovely Christmas and they decided to do it again next year .

Poppi's 100wc - week 14...

One day I was walking in the park and   I heard a terrible hullabaloo coming from the haunted forest and then the noise stopped I ran  up to it  and a total stranger  ran up to me and belted “don’t you take one more step you do know about the hunted forest.” 

The next day I went to school and I heard the  same sound but at school but in the willow and again but on the field I was creeped out. Is this the end?

Then the noise stopped...

It just happened all of a sudden.I was sitting in my pink and purple bedroom when everything turned silent. Outside where everybody was playing was silent. Downstairs where mum and dad were cooking the tea was as quiet as a mouse. “Strange” I thought. “ One minute I couldn't even hear myself think and the next,well there was nothing. Maybe I’m just dreaming. This has never happened before. Why don’t I go downstairs and see when tea’s going to be ready.

When I got downstairs into the kitchen I saw that everything was frozen even mum and dad...

One night I couldn't get to sleep. There was a drilling sound going on in the construction area down the road. I was up all night waiting for it to quieten, and then the noise stopped. I heard a cry though, coming from the same place. I dared to peek out of the window to see what was going on. I was astounded to see that the drill was actually stuck into the workers foot! 
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!" He screamed some more. Then his blood started spilling out, and he slowly fell to the ground... DUH-DUH-DUH!!!

Tap tap tap …

and then the noise stopped.I went upside to only find absolutely nothing!!!!!!!! So i returned downstairs to the roaring fire and my delicious hot chocolate.i was home alone and i was scared. I did not  know what to do as my mum was visiting my grandma as she recently had a fall.

I was just starting to relax again when the TAP TAP TAP! began again. My heart started to beat really fast.I crept upstairs as quiet as could be to notice that my bedroom light had been turned on.I pushed open the door to find an Elf that santa claus had left behide!!!!!!

one night i was up i herd a strang noise down staris.I went to see what was their,but nothing  was their.The next day my mum told me that we are going to go on a boat ride for the day.An hour later we was on the boat their was loads of poeple on the boat. Sunndley i herd the noise again so i looked around to see if there was anything their.But it was so drank i could not see anything.The  noise started to get lounder and lounder and then the noise stopped.Then i saw something looking at me,but it was a monster .It grab my legs and taked me and i was never seen again...

26th November 1922:
Today the strangest thing happened this is how it goes:
My crew and I trudged into the terrible tomb.I heard a slight noise like a snake slithering
along the sands or a scarab beetle scurrying along,what was it?
Later in the burning day the noise suddenly stopped.
WE WERE TRAPPED IN.
Someone or something had locked us in.Lord Carnarvon, Lady Evelyn Herbert and I  were locked in the dark passages.It was spooky and terrifying.
My heart pounded like a drum and as loud.
My face turned to fear and my smile turned upside down.
I may be Howard Carter well known but i am not a good detective I need to know what it was.
All of a sudden I heard Lord Carnarvon screamed”HELP!!!”.........................

Lily A's 100wc - week 14...

I tumbled down through the sticky mud into the deep dark trench and then the noise stopped.  All the explosions stopped for a moment.

I could hear my fellow soldiers above me firing their dangerous weapons at the enemy again.  The explosions started and the peace had gone.

I ventured to the top of the trench and peered over the edge. My eyes met with a dreadful sight, full of death and destruction, the landscape no longer looked beautiful as it once had. I frantically started to search for my best friend John, but he was nowhere to be seen….

As I stalked through the ghostly wood at night with the rustling of the leaves coming from behind me, the trees shaking from side to side whispering to me, the screeching of the bats zooming through the sky, then I turned back and the noise stopped. I peered to the side and saw a misty figure, dashing around the area I was in, who was it?
I raised my lantern above my eyes to see nothing but a shadow following mine fading into the moonlight. Seconds later I was hearing those noises again: this time they didn't stop.

I feel like I've done nothing but scuttle around in this annex my whole life. I do wish this tragic war would stop! I'm getting fed up of charming Peter, and this life! All you can hear is the sound of gruesome gun shots whistling through the air then blowing up beneath our enemies feet, and then the noise stopped. I surged with excitement,could it be? Could the bloodcurdling and sinister,spine-chilling then unfortunate war be finally over? I zipped out of bed then ran, practically tripping over to my mum's compartment, MUM?

Lily B's clown story!

One unlucky day I was walking to school and noticed a poster on the classroom door.

WANTED! PIE-THROWING CLOWN ESCAPED FROM THE CIRCUS! BEWARE!

I decided to ask Mr. Kenyon what had happened with this clown.

“Well, the other day at the circus a clown who got angry when nobody showed up to watch his pie-throwing performance stormed out angrily. He is now wandering the streets looking for people to throw pies at.”

“Ok,” I answered, as I walked over to my seat. Lessons began normally, until we watched a video and turned the lights off. A strange figure turned up behind Mr. Kenyon with a circular object in his hands. It was the clown! We all started giggling and pointing, so Mr. Kenyon turned around and SPLAT!!! The pie landed right in his face and then slid down to the floor. Everyone got sent home early, and we admitted this had been the BEST SCHOOL DAY EVER!!! ;)

And then the noise stopped it was the most terrible, deafening noise I have ever heard in my life the horrendous noise sounded like someone blowing into a flute as hard as possible and a baby screaming like heck and well all the bad noises in the Universe.I would probably need a hearing test after that right racket especially nan, definitely nan or me because I've terrible hearing.My mum would have had the most horrible scream it would at least make me sick or would of killed me and maybe been worse than other.

On December 5th,1944,a man called Uini Grafhat  made a phone called the Jajitii that could do loads of stuff.When there had been 1,000,000 phones sold, the talking and every noise stopped...

Everyone had became so interested with the phones that after a while not one word was said,even the police,firemen,doctors,soldiers,pilots and more stopped talking;The planes crashed the cars crashed the hoses stopped and soldiers dropped their guns.What had happened?.Everyone had frozen.Suddenly.. 

“Mohahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!”An evil monster had made everyone freeze...

Joe's 100wc - week 14...

I've been up here for ages. It's 1939, France and I'm in my attic.  I want to get out of here but I'm afraid of what's going on under my feet... I can hear gun fire from the street below my window! Wait a minute, listen, SILENCE.  "What happened?" I asked mum. "Everything was noisy and then the noise just stopped."  Suddendly I heard a big "BOOM!" I know I shouldn't, but I take a quick look out of the window.  Mum spots me and tells me off.  It looks like I'm going to be up here for a good few weeks.

The Start Line...

The start line. The most terrifying place for an athlete and that's where I was in Beernam, Belgium at midday on Sunday the 24th of November 2013. Boom! The gun went I was right in the of mash, suddenly I had to dismount and run as fast as I could up this really steep hill I remounted and after that I knew that I wasn't going to win but I had to keep believing. As I was coming towards the end of the first lap I had to do a sprint, the second lap it was also the last there was actually a bit of tarmac where I could really get some pace up then I had to run through a pool of sand after that it was just a steep bank and a corner and then the finishing straight where the commentator shouted out "Joseph L of Great Britain", then won a trophy which really sewed it up me. (I'm not going to mention the result).

Suddenly, I heard a furious, blood-curdling howl. Fast as a cheetah I ran for my life. Up ahead in the darkness I saw four bright green evil eyes staring at me. The clouds parted to reveal the full moon which illuminated the forest. Right in front of me were two big, hairy, black wolves with pointy black ears, white bellies, grey gnarled toe nails and red blood dripping from their mouths. I slowly walked back, turned around and started to run as fast as I could run: the wolves were catching up. I did a quick turn through the deep forest, I was trapped. There were two options - jump into a dirty river or get eaten by two hungry wolves. I chose the river! I didn't come up...

5  simple steps to make a poster advert

1)Make sure you have as much colour as possible in the advert,so the product  get’s a lot of attention.
2)You need a quote from someone famous you’re aiming the product at and someone related to the product.
3)Big picture of a good looking product.
4)Label all the best features of the product.
5)In small print terms and conditions.

Dear parliament,

I think that school uniform  should be banned.

                

It is a waste of time because  in the morning the pupil might not have any uniform that is clean which will  result in them having to wear dirty uniform it will also make people think how scruffy  the pupil is and thought that school is the blame.And think of the poor disabled pupils that have to go through with it.Sad, wouldn't you agree?And furthermore according to most schools in England they would be very late  because of uniform they have.The disabled pupils need to learn,so that is cutting into their learning time.

 

For the abled pupils they probably would prefer to wear normal clothes it might potentially improve their grades as well they might not like school uniform and not be happy,so they won’t pay attention to school if that happened to all the pupils the other countries would think that Britain's school rating would be rubbish.

As part of our Ancient Egypt topic, we've learnt about embalming & mummification. We thought we'd show what we've learnt by embalming some tomatoes and satsumas - it worked brilliantly! Look out for a report on how to do this soon!

Recently in maths we've been completing an investigation into the height of the trees out on our school field - including learning how to calculate the mean, median, mode and range of our data! The bouncy hair man is a very confident man; he’s a hairdresser and has the worst hair ever it was down to his neck at the sides and the back.Also it was short at the front, but it gets worse when he walks he puffs out his chest like he’s a king and it’s like his hair has a mind of it’s own it goes crazy up and down.The fact that The bouncy hair man is a hairdresser doesn't mean he’s good at it he’s rubbish he only does hair styles like his. Maybe he’s trying to take over the world by doing horrible hair styles.

Chelsea's 100wc - week 6...

one morning  I woke up and my mum called me to come down stairs. When I got down stairs my mum said that we are going to fly in a hot air balloon. I was so surprised I ran up stairs and got dress , had breakfast and we were on are way to the hot air balloon. When arrived there I jumped out of the car and got into to the hot air balloon . I was so high up I could see my house . Looking down , I was surprised to see loads of animas like tigers, elephants and lots more of animas . Suddleny the balloon poped we hited the ground like thuder , the tigers stared to chages me and my mum stared running one hour later we fining came home . After that day we nevered went in a hot air balloon.

100wc week six

One day I  was in a hot air balloon hovering  through the crystal blue sky.

Windy and cold,scared and lonely,flying through the clear blue sky of America.

Looking down,I was surprised to see a colourful fairy fluttering through the sky.

There wasn’t one or two but there was five fluttering high.”Hello,I’m Cloud.I’m the cloud fairy I look after the clouds and the sky.”said cloud as sweet as a strawberry.

”Hello,I’m Lydia I live in England but I am here for a holiday.”I said scaredly to the little fairy.

“Lydia,would you like to meet my family.”Asked Cloud.
“Sure,I would be delighted to meet your family.”I answered to Cloud.

One day in the misty forest lived a talented boy. His name  is Acer. His mum and dad are very  poor people.His mum said to Acer “we are running out of wood can you go and get some  to  keep us warm”. But Acer thought it was boring getting lots of wood. He wished he had an older brother to help him do the chores.But he went to get the wood any way. He  can see a boy crying and Acer asked him if he was alright but the boy said he was  hungry. Acer asked him if he had a family but the boy said no. Acer felt sorry for him and  said do you want to come with me  to my home. If you help me get the wood my mum may let you be in my family and you can be my brother. We all lived happily together.

It was a stormy day; a perfect day for a video game. The game I chose was Zombies Attack! because I’ve not played it yet, and I got it for my birthday. So right now I am in the hot air balloon (at the start)… “OH NO MY XBOX HAS EXPLODED!”... “Where am I? Wait I’m in the hot air balloon in my VIDEO GAME!” I looked down, I was surprised to see ZOMBIES from the video game and my hot air balloon was going DOWN! Now I going to have to was fight them. A zombie walked towards me then my xbox exploded again so I returned home.

Lily A's 100wc - week 6...

I am so excited; I’ve won a prize for the best 100 word challenge ever!

My prize is a trip in a hot air balloon and its leaving right now.  Into the basket I climb and up, up we go.

The view was beautiful, with fields in shades of greens and yellows, the river glistens like sapphires as it snakes through the countryside.  There were sheep on the hillside which look tiny as we are so high up.  It’s amazing and everything that I had hoped for, but then, looking down, I was surprised to see my school on FIRE!!!!!

Expert abseiler

This I my future of abseiling:

Abseiling is my favorite sport I mostly do it in the summer,but I sometimes I do it in the winter for charity.I have abseiling buddies as well,but they sort of copied and tried it which is good because I like inspiring people.Once I was abseiling and I was looking down,surprised to see  a bird in a frying pan and one of my friends there by it.I got down and saw my friend cooking it he said, “I am practicing cooking because I am bad at it so what do you think?”

Adam W's 100wc - week 6...

On september the 14th 1944, there was a hot air balloon. Not a normal hot air balloon a special one.

Its was all different colors like red, blue, pink, orange, green and lime and loads of other colors.  But

this air balloon was special because of its powers it could float and could also do loads of other stuff like

teleport and go invisible. 20 years later It had been popped by a criminal when he was trying to steal it, but know one knew, so in the morning it was a surprise to see that

it was flat. It never worked again on that fateful day.No-one was able to fly in it again therefore everybody was insanely unhappy that day.The world felt like it was upside down everything was wrong the sun would not  shine anymore the moon wasn't there that night. There was a black hole because the criminal had stabbed the balloon lord that controls the moon, sun and the balloons, who was in it. and everything was sucked into that black hole except for a boy called Jack, who had super powers !.

Jack flew and teleported dodged and held lamp posts to not get sucked in. Suddenly woshhhhh!!! Jack got pulled into the black hole...

Abi's 100wc - week 6...

Looking down,I was surprised to see a large,green monster looking up at me.Suddenly,out of the blue this huge,green monster jumped as high as the clouds and landed right into my hot air balloon! “Hi” Said the huge,green monster. “My name’s Slime Green”
“Yeah,I can see why you're called that” I said looking Slime-Green up and down again and again.
“And how do you know? asked Slime Green.
“...Umm...uuu...I just...umm...guessed?
“Oh,well you're very good at guessing”said Slime Green,not having any idea that I was actually winding him up.
“Well,I’d better get going now.See you again soon”
And the huge green monster just jumped out of the hot air balloon like it’s a thing that people [or monsters] do everyday.But even though he said we’d meet again we never did.

Lily B's 100wc - week 6...

I don't know if you've ever been up in a hot air balloon, but I have, and I can safely say that it's a big mistake. Frightened and injured, I staggered across the ground, the memory of the accident firing up my thoughts. Okay, I'm going through this properly now.

In the air, I was anxiously looking down, I was surprised to see that eagle gliding up towards us. He soon hit the inflatable with his beak and we came crashing down like a shot of lightning before making an earthquake- like crash on the ground. Later I'm going to hospital for a check-up to see if any of my bones are broken. I have no idea what's going to happen next...

The ancient Egyptians lived along the banks of the River Nile in Egypt.Farmers first settled in Egypt along the River Nile around 5000 B.C.

Where do most people in Egypt today?

About 95% of Egypt's population still live in the Nile Valley.(The area near the River Nile.)

On Christmas Eve on Ice drop mountain, a girl called Eliza stepped out onto the Village Farm and wondered what kind of Snow Sculpture she would make the next day. Eliza was shouted in for dinner. She crunched through the icy Snow to the Farmhouse and sat down for dinner. After dinner, Eliza went into her room and looked through her fantasy story.  On the firm pages, was a picture of an ice land.  She realized it was getting late and slowly fell asleep.

The next morning, as quickly as she could, Eliza got changed and pulled on her coat and boots. She ran outside and started rolling three giant Snowballs. Eliza put them on top of each other to make a Snowman. She named the Snowman Alex. "Eliza! Auntie Molly's here!" shouted Eliza's Mum from the kitchen. She went inside and opened her presents. When her Auntie said "goodbye", Eliza went back outside but Alex wasn't there!!! She walked through the trees and found herself in a different place. Eliza realized it was the fantasy land from her storybook!

Suddenly, she saw Alex with a bunch of other Snowmen and women. Eliza guessed this was his family. "Goodbye!" shouted Eliza. Just then Alex lifted one of his stick arms and waved at Eliza. "WOW!" exclaimed Eliza. She heard her Mum's voice calling her and she walked back through the trees.
